A very warm welcome to the latest PPN SE update blog and to all our new members across the South East of England. We’re delighted that you’ve joined our network and your involvement will help us to continue our work in giving a collective voice to all psychological professions in NHS commissioned healthcare.
There have been many changes within the PPN SE over the past six months. Our programme manager, Alice Plummer, moved on from her role at the PPN and our Assistant Psychologists Brad Powell and Amy Pound moved on to clinical training. We would like to thank them for their valuable contributions to the PPN SE and wish them all the very best in their next steps.
We have since recruited two new PPN SE Assistant Psychologists, Lynsey Dorn and Robyn Clare, who will be working to progress various workstreams that will be unfolding over the year. This includes the launch of a fortnightly newsletter which will keep members up to date with news and updates nationally and across the South East. This will be accompanied by a monthly blog focusing on relevant topics from members across the region. If you would like to have an update from your work or local network featured in one of our upcoming blogs or newsletters, we would love to hear from you. We want to boost important events and developments from around our region, so let us know what’s going on where you are! You can get in touch with the PPN-SE team at
A further important development for the region is the launch of the PPN SE Workforce Council. This Committee provides strategic advisory intelligence, expertise and advice on Psychological Professions workforce and education transformation across the region. Membership of the Workforce Council is structured to represent each of the 12 psychological professions, experts by experience, and sectors and professions across the region including health and social care providers, higher education and arm’s length bodies. The PPN SE Workforce Council meetings will take be held quarterly in place of previous Board meetings, with our next scheduled for May 2022.
