Promoting Excellence In Psychological Health & Wellbeing

If you work in a crisis team in the south east region, we would love to hear from you. We would like to organise a community of practice, made up of people delivering psychological therapies in crisis teams. This community of practice will be able to give advice and opinion to a paper we are writing on "developing psychologically informed crisis teams in the south east". The paper aims to include:

  • A summary of the psychological therapy workforce across the adult acute mental health pathway in the South East of England.
  • Recommendations for brief psychological interventions for these services
  • Innovative and best practice examples.
  • Describe psychologically informed models of care (e.g. trauma informed care; team based formulation)
  • Summarise the current evidence around improved outcomes and wider service benefits when working in a psychologically informed way.
  • Consider training recommendations for teams developing an overall psychologically informed way of working.

We would also like to hear from you about what you would like to be included in this piece of work. What you would value having further information about, and what you think your team or trust is curious about. You can now join this community of practice, and feed in ideas around gaps, barriers, development and work you would like to champion. The work is being undertaken by myself and Laura Goody. Both of us coming from a background in CRHT work, and with a passion to further the work that we are all doing.

We have created a leaflet displaying the information here for easy dissemination to services and colleagues. This can be found in the Crisis Community of Practice; CRHT Resource Section of the website - PPN-SE - Crisis Resources

Please complete our Crisis Community of Practice; CRHT Survey so we can get an understanding of your experience with Crisis Services and how the Community of Practice can work best for you - Crisis Community of Practice; CRHT Survey
