Our regional PPNs are working on a number of projects of relevance not only to the psychological professions in their region, but to the workforce across England. To find out more about regional projects and developments please see the relevant regional pages.
Psychological Professions Into Action
The 12 psychological professions working in NHS commissioned healthcare each have their own unique identity. While this allows for a richness and diversity of approaches within this dynamic workforce, historically it has meant the professions lack a joined up strategic voice. Hosted by PPN Kent, Surrey and Sussex, this project seeks to address this gap by inviting psychological professionals and all who have an interest in NHS commissioned psychological healthcare to participate and have a voice in an online conversation about the impact the psychological professions can make together.

Creating a career map for the psychological professions
PPN Kent, Surrey and Sussex is creating an interactive career map that will uniquely represent career profiles for the 12 psychological professions within one electronic resource. This will support career choices, and provide a resource for anyone wishing to find out more about the psychological professions workforce in NHS commissioned healthcare. This electronic resource will be launched in Spring 2020.

Promoting psychological practice in physical healthcare
The impact of services that the psychological professions can provide in a physical healthcare setting is not always widely understood. The PPN Kent, Surrey and Sussex has produced a scoping paper with a set of recommendations on how to maximise the potential for psychological professionals working in physical health.
