As part of a wider Perinatal Mental Health Training Plan the North West Coast SCN is pleased to be able to offer a number of funded places on the:
Advance Practice in Perinatal Mental Health (Level 7)
University of Salford
Commencing in September 2017
The ambition for this training is to:
- Upskill the Specialist* Perinatal Mental Health (PNMH) workforce and support the expansion of perinatal mental health (PMH) community and inpatient services.
- Upskill emergency services (i.e. A&E, home treatment, crisis teams) providing out of hours emergency care to women with serious perinatal mental illness.

- A 500 word essay/summary outlining how this training will, through your professional development assist you to better meet the needs of women, their babies and their families in the perinatal period and support the development of specialist perinatal mental health services locally
Please note that whilst this course will be funded via the NWCSCN in the event of non-completion of the course for any reason the costs will be recuperated from the student.
Successful applicants will be notified no later than 28th July 2017. At this point you will need to use the Salford University online application process to register on the course within 7 days.
