Promoting Excellence In Psychological Health & Wellbeing

The North West Psychological Professions Workforce Council (PPN North West) is supported by NHS England (NHSE) in the North West. The network brings together psychological professionals and provides a hub for sharing information about education, research and development, and networking opportunities.

The network enables strategic links to be made within the organisational and strategic structures of the NHS, and an opportunity to articulate and promote the important contribution of psychological approaches. It provides an independent voice to support NHS policy and practice including workforce development and planning. It is accountable to NHSE in the North West for its functions.

PPN North West is governed by a Workforce Council that sets the priorities and work plan of the network and oversees its work. The Workforce Council includes representatives from the largest psychological professions and the broad range of specialty and work areas where psychological approaches are delivered. The Council meets quarterly.
