The Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) Community of Practice has been developed to become a shared learning and supportive space for qualified and trainee EMHPs.
As EMHPs are one of the newest psychological professions to be developed and are uniquely placed to work with/in education settings, there continues to be a great deal of new learning and best practice that is collaboratively captured and shared through the Community of Practice. EMHPs are also a key element of the Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) which is the largest National Transformation project for Children and Young People’s mental health, so having a key vehicle in capturing how MHSTs are supporting to change the landscape of Children and Young People’s mental health provision across the region and nationally.
The work of this group is led and developed by EMHPs in the South West, and all trainee and qualified EMHPs in the region are invited to join. The group meets online every two months, with occasional meetings in person.
