Promoting Excellence In Psychological Health & Wellbeing

The Community of Practice (CoP) for Arts Therapists (Arts Psychotherapists) is a forum to bring together trainee and HCPC & UKCP qualified Arts Therapists across the Southwest. The CoP includes the 4 Arts Therapies professional groups of Art Therapy/Psychotherapy, Music Therapy, Dramatherapy and Dance Movement Psychotherapy.

We operate primarily as a forum through which Arts Therapists can work collectively to raise the profile of our professions, share and develop good evidence based clinical evaluation and research, provide benchmarks of good practice, and support each other in our operational and strategic roles. The CoP aims to promote high standards of professional and clinical excellence through the sharing of skills, experience, and knowledge to enable us to work effectively with service users and staff teams.

The work of this group is led and developed by experienced Arts Therapists in the Southwest, and all trainee and qualified Arts Therapists in the region are invited to join. The group meets three times a year, twice online and once in person for an away day which includes CPD activity.
