For sharing and info: New perinatal mental health animation for IAPT practitioners

Dear Colleagues,   

HEE has launched a perinatal mental health animation aimed at mental health practitioners working in Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services. The animation conveys five messages that IAPT practitioners need to be aware of when treating service users with perinatal mental health needs.   

The animation supports the Stepping Forward to 2020/21 mental health workforce plan deliverables to treat 30,000 women each year with perinatal mental health needs.   

Please only share this animation among IAPT and perinatal mental health networks rather than sharing it through public channels. It will be useful to disseminate this animation through regional IAPT teams, IAPT workforce meetings, as well as directly to education providers for sharing with learners on IAPT education programmes.
