Here is some further information from Dr Sam Vaughan:

The first role is the Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Training Lead post, and this is an exciting new role designed to specifically support the next steps in raising awareness of TIC and to support local service leads and teams towards implementation of TIC principles and values into delivery of care. We have made good progress locally towards culture change and are now excited to have this adopted as a local annual priority for this year and next.  We are looking for someone who has an interest in and a proven track record of leading on change and for someone who is passionate about trauma-informed care and shaping training strategies.  Bedfordshire and Luton ELFT aims to be a Trauma-Informed Organisation which means adopting and embedding the values and practices consistent with TIC in the services we provide, our approach to staff, our leadership culture and into our policies and procedures. The post-holder will join two Consultant Psychologists, the Director of Nursing, experts by experience and other members of our Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Strategy Group to specifically build on the TIC training delivery and TIC implementation initiatives that have begun.

The second role is a Principal Psychologist position in our Adult Community Mental Health Services network which has leadership responsibilities alongside clinical and supervision responsibilities. The successful applicant will be experienced in working with this client group, have a track record of working to develop and support multidisciplinary approaches and pathways, and experience of the management of demand and flow through services.  Experience in supervision, consultation, leadership, and service development is essential, along with highly developed clinical skills in assessment and intervention for people presenting in secondary care mental health services.  They will provide supervision to psychologists, therapists, CAPs and Assistant Psychologists working in these services.  You will join another Principal Psychologist who is in post and combine to provide leadership across the two blended primary/secondary mental health services in Leighton Buzzard and Dunstable.

The post requires people to be able to travel to locations around the county of Bedfordshire.
