New Co-Chairs and Committee Announced

Following some excellent expressions of interest and subsequent conversations with applicants, I am really delighted to say we have appointed not two but three new co-chairs to replace myself and Lizzie Gray. We felt that as we had such strong candidates, it would be helpful for the CoP to be led by three co-chairs who can share the load and take on different responsibilities.

Congratulations and welcome to the new co-chairs:

Rachel Balster, Step 2 Team Lead, NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies

Kirsten Brown, Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, Eastbourne Assessment and Treatment Service

Cicely Hayes, Senior PWP, NHS West Sussex Talking Therapies.

We have also invited the following to take a lead role on the committee for their practitioner groups, so welcome and congratulations also to:

Lauriane Constans, Education Mental Health Practitioner, Schools Mental Health Service, Brighton & Hove City Council

Fiona Loy, Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, South East Hampshire Inclusion No Wrong Door Service.

As you can see, we now have all Psychological Practitioner roles covered both adult and children and young people’s mental health on the committee.

I will have a gradual handover to the new co-chairs over the coming weeks and will communicate again shortly with some times/dates for the next PPCoP next meeting.

I am excited and positive about the future of our Community of Practice.

Simon Winter – CoChair PPCoP
