Welcome to the May edition of the PPN KSS newsletter!
We are continuing with our series on the NHS Long Term Plan, in the build up to this year’s PPN KSS Annual Conference on 19th November 2019. Conference theme: ‘Delivering together the psychological NHS Long Term Plan.’ Thank you to all who have already submitted articles so far! We look forward to hearing more about the different ways that the psychological professions are and will be supporting the delivery of the Plan across the region. Please also see here for our PPN infographic.
Please continue to promote the PPN, so we can continue to grow a thriving community of practice. We uniquely join up at least 12 psychological professions with policy makers/ planners and the public. Membership is either by psychological profession or by stakeholder, as we would like to join up with as many different people and stakeholders who are involved or interested in shaping psychological healthcare in the NHS. This is a free membership network, and you can sign up via www.kss-ppn.nhs.uk
We are delighted to have new requests to develop PPN KSS Subnetworks or provide a link into a profession. The development of the Subnetwork for PWPs is already underway. Any requests for subnetworks can be profession specific or around a shared area of interest, and provide an opportunity to participate in the work of the PPN KSS through the Steering Group. You will hear more about the PPN KSS Subnetworks in future editions of this newsletter.
We have been very busy with our project work, and are delighted to announce recent appointments to deliver scoping papers for the following projects:
We are also working on Developing A Career Map for the Psychological Professions. The electronic career map is being developed, alongside other materials which we will present in forthcoming newsletters. Here, the 12 psychological professions will all be presented together for the first time!
