Research Participation Request: Improving the long-term benefits for patients receiving step 2 care in Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services for anxiety and/or depression

02 Aug 23

You are being invited to take part in a research project that aims to improve long-term benefits for
patients that have received low intensity treatment for depression and/or anxiety in Improving
Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services.

This project focuses on IAPT services across the North of England as a response to the NIHR Mental Health Theme call in Northern England, and we will recruit patients and IAPT professionals to hear their experiences of IAPT services.

The research team at the University of Manchester are conducting this research because they would like to understand why this happens and what could be done to help patients maintain treatment gains and overcome difficult periods following treatment. And to do so, we invite patients and professionals to participate in an interview.
