Recruitment and engagement of older people for health promotion interventions

12 Aug 14

CHAIN member Ann Liljas is looking for experts in ageing with knowledge of recruitment and engagement of older people (with a particular interest in BME older people) for health promotion interventions.

You're invited to participate in a short 'Delphi Consensus' survey part of our NIHR-funded study 'Healthy Aging, Research and Participation'. Our recently completed study (Well-being Interventions for Social and Health needs (WISH), 2012-2013) found that older people aged 85 and over, those from minority ethnic groups and those living in rented accommodation were less likely to take part. The current study aims to provide a better understanding of those less likely to take part in health promotion and research in healthy ageing. Health promotion for older people is a government priority and it is therefore important to find out how to successfully target this group.

If you have knowledge in this area and would like to take part by sharing your expertise, please contact Ann Liljas by email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or telephone 020 7794 0500 ext 31940.
