Psychological Practitioner Membership of the Clinical Senate

Are you interested in being a member of the Greater Manchester, Lancashire and South Cumbria Clinical Senate Council or the Clinical Senate Assembly?

Following a launch event on the 12th December, the Greater Manchester, Lancashire and South Cumbria Clinical Senate are now inviting clinicians to become members of their council and assembly. It is important that there are a number of psychological professionals on the Senate Assembly, and ideally we need at least one practitioner on the Senate Council as well. The time scales are tight and the network will work with the Clinical Senate team to see how we can make sure psychological professionals are represented for the future. But if you are interested and available to apply we are keen encourage you to take up this opportunity now.

What is the Senate Council?

The Senate Council is a small multi-professional steering group of broad subject experts that will perform the business functions of the Clinical Senate; developing activities, products and managing the outputs of the Clinical Senate. Membership of the council is voluntary and time commitment is 1-2 days per month, all reasonable expenses will be covered. Members of the Council will have access to development opportunities that they can apply to their senior leadership roles. Interviews will be held in both Manchester and Lancashire.

The Senate Assembly is a wider and diverse multi professional forum providing the Council with ready access to content experts from a broad range of health and care professionals. Membership of the assembly is voluntary and time commitment is attendance at an annual conference, and ad hoc meetings as Senate topics dictate.
