North West 2022/23 Upskilling Funding – Mental Health (Physician Associates) - Closes 07/11/22

As part of our commitment to the development of the Physician Associate (PA) workforce, HEE are offering funding in 2022/23 to support the upskilling of Physician Associates working across the North West in the care and support of people with mental health problems, in any NHS funded setting (including children and young people).

A total investment of over £190,000 has been allocated to the North West region. The following employers of PAs in the North West are invited to bid for up to £1,500 per physician associate to directly support relevant upskilling activities:

  • NHS trusts
  • NHS funded primary care services
  • Other providers of NHS-commissioned mental health services

Only one submission per organisation should be submitted by the trust PA lead, medical director, or education lead; any duplicates will not be accepted. The deadline for submitting bids is midday 12pm Monday 7th November 2022.
