Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) Training
Dates:
- Thursday 6th – Saturday 8th October 2016
- Friday 9th December 2016
- Thursday 23rd – Saturday 25th February 2017
Trainees must be available for all 7 days of training.
NB – some training dates fall on a Saturday.
Venue: The Mechanics Centre, 103 Princess Street, Manchester M1 6DD
Health Education North West has commissioned a number of places for EMDR training with ‘EMDR Masterclass’.
Applicants MUST meet the following eligibility criteria to be able to access the training:
Mental Health Professionals
- Clinical Psychologists (Registered with HCPC or PSI)
- Counselling Psychologists (Registered with HCPC or PSI)
- Psychiatrists (MRCPsych, SpR, SHO)
- Community Psychiatric Nurses
- Registered Mental Health Nurses
- Psychiatric Social Workers
Counsellors/Psychotherapists – MUST hold accreditation OR have submitted their application for accreditation for one of these professional bodies:
- BABCP
- BACP
- UKCP
- IACT/IACP
- Association of Christian Counsellors (higher level)
- British Society for Clinical Hypnosis
- National Council of Psychotherapists (Mental Health Practitioners)
Notes:
- Clinical & Counselling Psychologists in final year of training are acceptable with letter of recommendation from their supervisor
- Arts Therapists registered with HCPC with mental health training may be accepted
- Occupational Therapists registered with HCPC with mental health training may be accepted
- Accredited with IAHIP or Counselling Society may be acceptable
