Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) Training

Dates:

  • Thursday 6th – Saturday 8th October 2016
  • Friday 9th December 2016
  • Thursday 23rd – Saturday 25th February 2017

Trainees must be available for all 7 days of training.
NB – some training dates fall on a Saturday.

Venue: The Mechanics Centre, 103 Princess Street, Manchester M1 6DD

Health Education North West has commissioned a number of places for EMDR training with ‘EMDR Masterclass’. 

Applicants MUST meet the following eligibility criteria to be able to access the training:

Mental Health Professionals

  • Clinical Psychologists (Registered with HCPC or PSI)
  • Counselling Psychologists (Registered with HCPC or PSI)
  • Psychiatrists (MRCPsych, SpR, SHO)
  • Community Psychiatric Nurses
  • Registered Mental Health Nurses
  • Psychiatric Social Workers

Counsellors/Psychotherapists – MUST hold accreditation OR have submitted their application for accreditation for one of these professional bodies:

  • BABCP
  • BACP
  • UKCP
  • IACT/IACP
  • Association of Christian Counsellors (higher level)
  • British Society for Clinical Hypnosis
  • National Council of Psychotherapists (Mental Health Practitioners)

Notes:

  • Clinical & Counselling Psychologists in final year of training are acceptable with letter of recommendation from their supervisor
  • Arts Therapists registered with HCPC with mental health training may be accepted
  • Occupational Therapists registered with HCPC with mental health training may be accepted
  • Accredited with IAHIP or Counselling Society may be acceptable
