A new voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) Health and Wellbeing Programme has been developed following the VCSE review to enable the Department of Health, NHS England and Public Health England to work together with VCSE organisations to drive transformation of health and care systems to promote equality and address health inequalities and help people, families and communities to achieve and maintain wellbeing.
The first component of this programme is a new VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance. Replacing the existing strategic partner programme from 2017/18, it will facilitate integrated working between the voluntary and statutory sectors and continue to build on productive and transparent relationships with the VCSE sector, bringing the sector’s voice and expertise into national policy making.
