Promoting Excellence In Psychological Health & Wellbeing

Department of Health, NHS England and Public Health England launch new VCSE Health and Wellbeing Programme

27 Jan 17

A new voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) Health and Wellbeing Programme has been developed following the VCSE review to enable the Department of Health, NHS England and Public Health England to work together with VCSE organisations to drive transformation of health and care systems to promote equality and address health inequalities and help people, families and communities to achieve and maintain wellbeing.

The first component of this programme is a new VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance. Replacing the existing strategic partner programme from 2017/18, it will facilitate integrated working between the voluntary and statutory sectors and continue to build on productive and transparent relationships with the VCSE sector, bringing the sector’s voice and expertise into national policy making.

It aims to ensure that the Alliance covers a range of groups including:

  • The equalities protected groups
  • Groups facing the most significant health inequalities
  • The breadth of VCSE providers and infrastructure

They are inviting applications to join the new Alliance. Further details and how to apply can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vcse-health-and-wellbeing-alliance-application-form

Closing date for applications: noon 22/02/17
