Experts by Experience: An Opportunity to join the East of England PPN Workforce Council

The East of England Psychological Professions Network (EOEPPN) is seeking Experts by Experience, with a particular interest in the Psychological Professions, to join our Workforce Council and contribute to our activities.

We are seeking members of the public who live in the East of England which covers Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire.  People are sought from diverse backgrounds with varying ages, heritage and lived experience, who have:

• Accessed NHS commissioned psychological services themselves or,
• Wanted to access services and been unable to or,
• Have supported someone who has accessed NHS commissioned psychological services.

Some of the activities for members will include:

• Attending meetings, events and contributing to communications on behalf of the EOEPPN
• Ensuring that the voice of service users, carers and the public areas represented in the EOEPPN
• Involvement with EOEPPN staff on a number of areas / projects of the workplan
• Reading documents in advance of meetings
• Attending team meetings
• Attending workplan reviews
• Joining the EOEPPN Workforce Council as a member
• Holding professionals including the EOEPPN staff to account
• Asking questions including asking for clarification and explanations of items discussed
• Offering alternative perspectives
