The CWP intervention aims to improve the quality of life for children and young people presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, and reduce the likelihood of a need for specialist services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Children’s Services Intensive and Specialist Support Service as a Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner Trainee. These intensive training posts will equip you to provide interventions based on Child and Young Persons Improving Access to Psychological Therapies care principles.
During the yearlong training period, you will be using your newly developed skills to deliver low intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions for children and young people, including behavioural treatments for anxiety; guided parent-led self-help and behavioural activation for depression. You will receive clinical supervision relevant to your training and have opportunities to work with fellow CWPs as well as other members of the Norfolk Children’s Services multi-disciplinary Intensive and Specialist Support Service.
As a Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner Trainee, you will be working with children and families who are receiving support from Norfolk Children’s Services through a Family Support, Child in Need or Child Protection Plan.
