Principal Clinical / Counselling Psychologist

The post holder will be the lead psychologist for the newly developing Maternity Mental Health (MMH) Team. The role is attached to the Milton Keynes Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service which is a multi-disciplinary team including Psychiatrist, Team Manager, Psychologist and Psychological Therapist, Specialist CPN’s, Lead OT, Nursery Nurse and administration staff. You will be working with women with moderate-complex Mental Health difficulties arising from the experience of loss and trauma relating to their maternity/perinatal/neonatal experience. This will include, but will not be limited to, PTSD following birth trauma, perinatal loss including miscarriage, stillbirth, termination or neonatal death, and severe tokophobia (primary and secondary tokophobia).
