MHST CBT Clinical Lead – Full or part time. Band 8a
Central and North West London NHS Trust (Milton Keynes Mental Health Services)

This post will support the clinical development and delivery of the MHSTs in Milton Keynes, enabling evidence-based CBT interventions in schools through supervision and training and education with practitioners in the team. You will also be responsible for championing schools to develop a whole school approach to wellbeing and mental health using a range of different evidence-based and theoretical approaches; and for providing training and consultation to staff and schools about mental health in children and young people and support schools in identifying specific areas of need. We seek to recruit a registered mental health professional or accredited CBT therapist who is passionate about working with children and young people, families, education staff and the school community to provide evidence-based and innovative support for emotional wellbeing and mental health. Expertise in the delivery of CBT both on an individual and group basis, to children and young people and their families to manage anxiety, low mood and understand behaviour is essential.

We are seeking confident professionals with significant experience of evidence-based group and individual interventions with children and young people, day to day operational leadership and clinical supervision. It is essential you hold a relevant clinical qualification and have previous experience of working in a specialist or early help children and young people’s mental health team; additional post graduate training in an evidenced based treatment modality such as CBT or DBT or experience of working in an educational setting would be a bonus. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality and responsive clinical interventions, including implementation and review of systems, policies, standards and procedures
