Band 7 Senior Clinician in Mental Health Support Team

Based in Peterborough CCS NHS Trust – Flexible and agile working appropriate for this post.

This band 7 is an additional post to provide more support for schools in the area.

We are looking for someone with professional registration and clinical experience of working with children and young people and knowledge/experience of CBT would be desirable.

In addition to holding a small clinical caseload of children with mild-moderate mental health difficulties the post holder might provide clinical supervision to trainee EMHPs (band 4) and management/clinical supervision to Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP). There will be an opportunity to attend the University of East Anglia supervisors’ course and the post holder will work closely with the other senior clinicians and clinical leads to ensure the MHST is a success.

Mental Health Support Team – Senior Practitioner

Mid and North East Essex Mind

We are recruiting to the role of Senior Practitioner and Supervisor in a Mental Health support team, in one of three teams based across the North East Essex locality. The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) are based within schools and colleges, ensuring children and young people receive faster access to earlier mental health support. The teams are all established with clear referral pathways and positive working relationships with our host schools.

In this role you will provide a high-quality service to students (and their families) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This will be done through the supervision of Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and through direct delivery of evidence-based interventions to support the recovery of young people referred to the service. The teams also deliver the Whole School Approach which involves a range of activities that increase knowledge and understanding around mental health for young people, their parents/carers and school staff.

Utilising skills and knowledge of CBT and child and adolescent mental health practice along with knowledge of whole school approaches to mental health.

To apply, you must have a relevant professional qualification or equivalent eg, EMHP with 2 years experience, accredited PWP (must have experience of working with CYP), Counselling, Mental Health Nurse, Systemic Therapist, Psychotherapist, CBT Therapist.
