Our Clinical Associate in Psychology apprenticeship posts are a Master’s degree level apprenticeship combining work and study with the University of East Anglia. As an apprentice you will be employed to work within a local community setting for eighteen months. While at work you will be learning the skills you will need as a qualified CAP, through work-based learning and day release to university to provide you with a training focused on working with Adults from across the life span with mental health problems. Once you complete the apprenticeship and the end point assessment you will be awarded an MSc as a Clinical Associate in Psychology. You will then be employed as a qualified CAP and will step up to a Grade 6.

Consultant Clinical Psychologist for Older People's Services, 8c

Full time - permanent 

Salary £65,664 to £75,874 per annum

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to lead and develop our older people's psychology and therapies service in East Suffolk, across community and inpatient services. Applications are encouraged from existing Consultants, and current 8b Psychologists who wish to develop their careers. There is a strong network of later life psychologists in the Trust, with professional leadership from a Lead Psychologist, and opportunities to work closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist in West Suffolk.

The service line is proud of its commitment to continually strive to improve the quality of the care provided to service users and carers. There is a monthly later life Quality Meeting, a Trustwide Older People's Forum and opportunities to participate in research, service evaluation and QI projects. The community service is currently working towards Royal College of Psychiatry accreditation. Current research is underway on co production in recovery colleges by people with dementia, and using Dialog+ with people with dementia.
