Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) Lecturer (full and part-time considered)

Norwich Medical School. Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

£34,304 to £40,927 per annum, pro-rata for part-time.

We are appointing to the post of Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) Lecturer. The post holder(s) will form part of an expanding and dynamic team delivering the EMHP Trainee and Supervisor programmes at UEA.

EMHP is part of the UEA Department of Clinical Psychology & Psychological Therapies (CPPT) within Norwich Medical School. Other CPPT training programmes include low-intensity (PWP) and high-intensity (HIT) IAPT programmes, the Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) programme and the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. CPPT is a fast-growing and innovative department, so new staff will join a department that continues to develop and increase its impact. The post holder would be able to draw on expertise from a range of colleagues, as well as established relationships with regional/national service, HEI and education stakeholders.

A new and innovative opportunity working across Ormiston Families’ Supporting Smiles mental health and wellbeing service in Norfolk and YOUnited mental health and wellbeing service in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.

Providing cohesive clinical leadership and oversight across Ormiston Families’ mental health services, supporting the Operations Managers in the ongoing development of clinically safe, robust and effective provision and supervision.

Supporting Smiles has held the tier 2 CAMHS CYP contract to deliver mental health services to young people and families for over a decade. We offer high quality 1:1 therapy and early intervention programmes to children and young people between the ages of 4-16 who experience social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. We also offer parent led interventions and family-based support. We work collaboratively across an innovative alliance of partner providers in the processing of referrals for those aged 0-25.

Based in Cambridge or Peterborough for CCS NHS Trust

The Band 5 EMHP/CWP Role works alongside a team of mental health professionals under supervision. They work directly with children and young people, carrying out holistic assessments and providing evidence-based interventions

BAND 5 or 6 EMHP (Education Mental Health Practitioner) or CWP (Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner)

Based in Wisbech for CCS NHS Trust

The band 5 – 6 role is dependent on experience and can be offered as a developmental post. In addition to the clinical role as a band 5 the post holder might provide clinical supervision to trainee EMHPs (band 4) There will be an opportunity to attend the University of East Anglia supervisors course  and the post holder will work closely with the senior clinicians and clinical leads to ensure the MHST is a success.
