We have launched a new and innovative Master of Science Clinical Associate in Psychology Degree Apprenticeship (CAP) programme to train Clinical Associates in Psychology (CAP) to work in the local NHS and now we are looking to further expand our core staff team delivering this programme.
We are looking for HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologists who want to develop their career and use the full range of their skills and competencies to provide a high-quality training experience to the psychology professionals of tomorrow.
We want to appoint staff excited to work in the University environment to support the development of our existing and future CAPS cohorts through roles like teaching, training, supervision and advising. There will also be opportunities for people to use and build on their research interests. As the CAP programme and CAP role continues to develop we are keen to build on the strengths and interests of our staff team, including new appointments, to shape our programme and to meet the needs of our partner services in the region.
The CAP programme is part of the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychological Therapies (CPPT) within Norwich Medical School. CPPT continue to be a fast-growing and innovative department and sonew staff join a Department that continues to develop and increase its impact. The CAP programme and its staff team have a unique identify within the Department and the course has its own ethos and style which it continues to shape. Nonetheless all CAP staff can also have strong links with the well-established Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme with opportunities to be involved in doctoral supervision and teaching.
In terms of research, CPPT also a strong track record of research delivery with a number of active clinical researchers with a range of clinical research interests. Research is conducted alongside multidisciplinary colleagues within the university and partners in the NHS.
