Job Summary:
Are you ready for a change or a development in your career? Passionate about working with older adults? Ready to lead and shape a service?
We are seeking a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to lead and develop our older people's psychology and therapies service in East Suffolk, across community and inpatient services. Applications are encouraged from existing Consultants, and current 8b Psychologists who wish to develop their careers. There is a strong network of later life psychologists in the Trust, professional leadership from a Lead Psychologist, and opportunities to work closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist in West Suffolk.
Our older people's service is proud of its commitment to continually strive to improve the quality of the care provided to service users and carers. There is a monthly later life Quality Meeting, a Trustwide Older People's Forum and opportunities to participate in research, service evaluation and QI projects. The community service is currently working towards Royal College of Psychiatry accreditation, with one team achieving this with commendations, including for the use of formulation. Current research is underway on co-production in recovery colleges by people with dementia.
You will be supported in this role and CPD relevant to the role will be available and encouraged, including leadership development and training.
