Promoting Excellence In Psychological Health & Wellbeing

Last update: 03/04/2025

The Psychological Professions Network, East of England (EoE PPN) is focused on bringing together project ideas that can positively impact the psychological professions in the region, as well as communities at large.

Launched in 2021, the current focus of EoE PPN is empowering its members to create thriving communities of practice, develop regional and national workforce strategies, and liaise with regional experts by experience and stakeholders, including commissioning groups.

If you have an idea for a project that you would like to discuss and develop, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Here is an overview and update of our ongoing project work:

  • Support for the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist (CAPT) training initiative across the East of England. We have been working with HEE, The ACP, course training providers and local Trusts, mapping CAPTS, CAPTs with supervisory capacity and their current trainees across the region, to identify obstacles to training placements and then to work together to address these, with a view to meeting longer term expansion plans. This culminated in a joint presentation by PPN EOE and the ACP at the national Chief Psychological Professional Officers’ webinar in April 2021, to disseminate good practice from our region.
  • National release of our Psychological Professions in the East of England video for Psychological Professions Week 2024; please visit the EoE News page to watch the video and find out more.
  • Drawing together learning from our regional Communities of Practice including the outputs and quotes from our members; please visit the EoE Communities of Practice page to find out more about our Communities of Practice.
  • Reviewing of our Workforce Council documents with the intention of disseminating fresh guidance co-produced with our Experts by Experience in the near future.
